"Live adventurously. When choices arrive, do you take the way that offers the fullest opportunity for the use of your gifts in the service of God and the community. Let your life speak." |
Meeting for worship forms an important part of the school day |

Sibford School was originally established in 1842 as a boarding school for the children of Quaker families, and the Quaker values, which seek to recognise 'that of God in everyone', remain at the heart of all we do.
Translated into everyday life, this means valuing and nurturing individual talents and developing the 'I can' attitude to life. Self-esteem is enhanced with an enduring sense of personal value and a belief that we all have something to offer.
Quakerism is not about dogma but about living life according to some simple, underpinning principles, and it is this ethos which enables us to assist each and every pupil to recognise and acknowledge their own individual gifts and talents and to realise their true potential.
Meeting for Worship forms an important part of the school day and provides pupils and staff, of all religious beliefs and none, the opportunity to gather together for silent reflection. This can be both powerful and calming.
The Quaker ethos of caring for the environment plays an important part in school's day to day operation. In 2007 we achieved a Bronze Award under the Eco-Schools scheme in recognition of our achievement in working towards a sustainable lifestyle. We are now working towards the Silver Award.
