Overseas Students
Overseas pupils are welcomed into the Sibford School community and benefit from the wide variety of cultural and academic opportunities available.
Where English is not the first language, ESOL support (English to Speakers of Other Languages) will be given alongside the mainstream curriculum.
In years 7 through to 11 pupils will be targeting Cambridge ESOL exams.
In sixth form, A Level students will choose IELTS exams (International English Language Testing System) as one of their options.
We also offer a pre-A Level one year intensive English course for those of intermediate level wishing to improve their language skills prior to studying A Level.
All overseas students are encouraged to participate in sporting activities; attend school and house meetings; and to be involved in charity work, drama productions and musical performances.
We also organise a variety of excursions to places of cultural and historic interest to ensure that all pupils receive a taste of British life.
Currently Sibford is home to pupils from China, France, Georgia, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Korea, Russia and Taiwan
